DIY: Fan Blower Not Working Quick Fix

Hey guys just thought I'd share this.. So my fan blower in my E90 3 series stopped working for some reason one day to the next.. the electrical controls worked fine but it wasn't blowing heat out. What happens is that its a fairly common issue with older E90's the weather stripping on the lower part of the windshield starts to separate and water goes into the cabin/foot well area of the car and directly on top of the HVAC system. Since this was my second time fixing the problem I figured I'd show you guys a temporary fix IF your problem was that the blower seized from rust. Again this is just a temporary fix that'll get you by as long as your car doesn't get rained on everyday

Ps. The 5w30 oil is probably a bit thick so if you want to use something else more suitable for the job feel free lol

Great DIY. Graphite lube is probably what you'd want to use.

No worries, my blower motor is doing the same thing (Although I can stick my fingers in from the engine compartment and at least spin the motor by hand)
