Thanks in advance

I think I will go ahead and just buy these:

Can anyone confirm they will work (I just noticed it said it was for an E90 M3.. which means these are for e92/e92s...)

When I got in an accident and my tabs broke I wanted to get the tab replacements from ecs because my lights were custom made and I didn't want to replace the lights and have to re do the led rings in the new lights however my body shop who did my car recommended not to use the tabs because they work but are not very stable so your lights may move around while driving and do not last very long. I didn't want that to happen so I just got new lights and redid the custom led rings...insurance paid for the new anyways but had to redo the custom lights. Hope this helps with your decision

Thank you for chiming in.

The tabs are $25 + labor, my friend, why not just try it out and then see if you needed new lights?

I ask, because I already sent payment on my headlights but he is shipping them out tomorrow so I suppose I can ask for a refund?

Yeah for the price why not try...I went through it last summer...so it's over and done with now...but I was also having a code being thrown with my adaptive headlights so I thought might as well have the insurance company pay for new ones anyways.

I bought the tab repair kit from ecs last year. Don't listen to the guy up there about shaky headlights after repairing the tabs, the kit is made by BMW so no worries they fit just right and do the job just right u just have to remove the headlight and shave off a little bit of the broken tab off with a razor.

Fellas, my concern is that the ECS tab repair kit is advertised for e92/3's and e90M3's not non-M e90's

I hear ya did he try to sell u a new headlight right after telling u that? Lol but to op I'm guessing if one is made for the e92 that they should also make one for the e90 if not do some research as to see if the tabs on the lights are similar and if the kit can be used anyway.

That's because they won't fit.

RealOEM is your friend.

I've put similar kits on mk4 volkswagens. They are actually more stable than the original tab. I'll be buying these for my e92 because my right headlight tab busted from a small piece of 2x4 that hit it on the expressway.

Please, help myself locate the tab repair.

The body shop owner directed myself to BMW, where I would ask for a metal tab repair kit.

They said they do not have anything. Well, I didn't look hard enough on REALOEM, but can you confirm where the part is?
