Are these Velcro stick-ons for a bra?

Picked up a used 2009 E90 LCI. It's my first BMW after lusting after them since I laid eyes on a 2002 Tii back in the 70s. Love the car.

I've found some stick-on Velcro hook patches under the hood. See the orange circles in the images below. Am I correct in thinking that these are for a bra that a previous owner had? Unless there is some need, and I can't see one here, these things are gonna disappear.

Thanks!

Heh... Very good. Kinda like headlight fluid and muffler bearings.

My guess would be same as yours, even though I have not seen any BMW's with bra, it looks consistent with what would be installed if car had some sort of an entire front nose bra...

Seen some people so this to reduce sound when closing and possible scratching.

That's exactly what they are. Those Velco strips come with BMW bra kit to secure the grill/bumper portion of the bra.

I wondered about that, but the hood settles into place dead straight and doesn't wiggle at all when closed.
