Sweet Jesus ditch the run flats. They're just not worth the "convenience" they're supposedly providing. I guarantee you can sell them in a heartbeat to somebody who will use it for an end of lease return or something.

I'm not even convinced they're all that convenient, since they almost always bubble on the side wall, causing even greater hazard down the road.

What killed the way the BMW driving feel is conveyed to the driver? I'll tell you, electronic steering definitely isn't on the top of that list.

Garage List
Yeah, I had that on mine. Really strange feeling when its like 55F or below. Gets really bad below mid 40īs. The car starts to behave like its riding on either a wet or even slightly icey surface. I replaced mine just a few weeks ago with GoodYear Eagle F1 Asymetric 225/40-17 fron t and 255/40-17 rear (m-sport), Non RFT ofcourse.

The change is remarkable..
The ride is smoother, yet the tires communicate more clearly and having tried the brakes and cornering, Im convinced the car now does both alot better. Had her up to around 140mph with zero issues and also behaves alot better on worn/grooved surfaces (no tracksteering). 5% better fuelaverages is a plus aswell. All in all, Im pretty happy with them.
I added a puncture kit and a small aircompressor aswell as two "sparetire in a can" for real emergencies.
