F85 drivetrain + harness + ecu

Hello all,

Hypothetically speaking, if i get an f85 donor car, would it be possible to swap the entire drivetrain (engine + trans), cluster, wiring harness and ecu into the E70 and make it work? Or would it be easier to use a stand alone ecu ie: motec?

There's a guy who LS swapped his x5m and its got the ZF8HP transmission connected to it (e70 x5m had zf6HP). So in theory.......you probably could (with the obvious work, headache, and custom fitment).
