Just so you know, I was stoked to have finally picked up a x2 teleconverter to use w/ my 70-200L and took a pic of the moon the other night. Then I saw your pic and crawled back in my hole. Now I'm considering a 100-400L before the next full moon comes in (and a R5). Thanks a lot! lol

Seriously, though, that's an awesome pic!

Pic of the other pup. Vet wants him to be mildly sedated before his check up. Took 3 vet techs to hold him in place for his vaccine. He's only 14lbs and much smaller than our other Boston (in the couch pic). lol

Thanks!

The 100-400L is a great lens and actually works very well with a 1.4 if yoyu have a body that can f8 auto focus, which the R5 would most certainly does. If I still shot Canon I would probably already have one.

The moon can be very hit and miss depending on the atmosphere. I get better results when it rises very early in the morning darkness, but am rarely up for that

These birds stroll near the house from time to time. I think they hang out at a nearby marsh. Anyone know what they are? I assume a crane ir heron of sorts

Attempt #2. I'll try my other tripod head next time. The ball head I used for this shot takes a bit to settle out given the size/weight of the lens+teleconverter+camera body. Also found out that neither my remote or intervalometer work with the EOS R. Grrr...

The sky was clouded over last night so no moon could be seen. I managed to snag this test shot the night prior, though.

Nice one! I tried but it's been way too hazy in the bay area and they didn't come out well at all. Too much atmosphere.
