They've held up perfectly fine so far. Only issue is the rears flicker sometimes but that seems to be across most x5's. I have two local friends who bought different lights and they flicker too. One set is over 2-3 years old

the flickering usually means the connection is loose. i have the same problem with mine.. opened them back up and used some shoe goo on the connector to keep it tight. no issues since

Would be the same as the electrical grease right?

Just bought the LED lights from the link the OP had posted.

Since I got my x5d in 2012 I've never used the 3rd row once. After thinking about deleting the 3rd row to install a spare for couple years, I finally did it. Overall it was straight forward process.

Picked up an X5m steering wheel with nappa leather from a wrecker in Alberta a few weeks ago. Install was fairy straight forward minus running wires from the steering wheel to the transmission. Also noticed the X5m wheel doesn't get nearly as warm as the original sport wheel did but it's not that big of a deal.

Wouldn't mind doing the X5M wheel swap. I use my 3rd row all the time when my kids take friends to the cottage in the summer

Replaced the VCG over the weekend. I had replaced injector 5&6 earlier this year because of water damage from the broken partitions. When we pulled out injector 4 we did not expect it to look like this! Checked the resistance and it checked out. Never had any driveability issues with it either.

No the flicker is because our lighting system sends out low voltage to do a "bulb check" on our lighting system. A halogen doesn't pick up this low voltage and an led does. There's no way to get rid of this other then coding out the "bulb check"

Hmm interesting.
Any idea why it only happens on the rear headliner LEDs?

I didn't read where the leds were installed hah. In that case the leds could be bad which some just don't last because of shitty quality. Or they're not Canbus led bulbs or what he said, bad connection

Off topic but where did you get those caps for the intake holes? Those are pretty awesome

Lowered the X5d with B8 shocks & Eibach springs up front and via ISTA with B4 shocks in rear

The ride quality is a little stiffer (not bouncy) now with much less body roll on curvy mountain roads. The other thing is the steering wheel feels slightly heavier. I'm wondering how the ride would change if I went with B4's all the way around

How did you change up your cluster? Also how has the ride been since lowering it?

Thank you!
I have whatever is going to fail planned

Vacuum pump gaskets were leaking so replaced them

You can see the rubber gasket has shrunk in size and it's flat with the housing. No wonder they were leaking

And all cleaned up

Changed the power steering fluid and filter

old fluid

The original filter in the reservoir at 145,000km wasn't all that dirty

Installed ATM's ASV hose before the factory one gave out in the mountains on a long road trip

Replaced the gaskets that seal the inner taillights before water corroded the electrical connectors on the rear

Is that even broken in?

Does look great, I am going for a similar look with my white X5. Style 214's in black, I will keep all the trim black however.

What % tint are you front windows?
