BMW X6 50i ECU remapping by PowerChip
Dyno Run. Done my PowerChip Stage 2 ECU remapping today. Was very happy with the result, more than I expected. A whopping 291.4KW on all the 4 wheels (not 2 wheels, fly wheel or no wheel) Repeat again it is on all 4 wheels. Stage 1 was Dyno at 244.3KW. Didn't do a stock Dyno at that time.
Have a look at the graph below RED Line is stage 2 ECU Remapping and the BLUE Line is stage 1 ECU Remapping. Now the power of this car is as good as a X6M Stock. Feeling much better now on the power it is pushing. Will update video later. Thank you for viewing

You will probably destroy the transmission, or other items in the driveline. Someone recently posted that they snapped the half shaft in the rear, just by going around a corner, after similar mods. The engine components such as the pistons, head gaskets, cylinder heads are not designed for this level of power also. The transmission is especially suseptable to damage from tuners because BMW cuts the ignition during shifts to preserve transmission life. Buyer Beware because you no longer have a warranty.

Perhaps I need a X6M like you but bought mine on the wrong time. Love your X6M. The durability of a car is depend on our personal drive style. I had been doing this for a long long time. I know how ECU reprogramming works. Thanks for the advise. I am aware of the post of that X6M half the shaft was broken just by doing a corner, he must be pushing his M to the limit every time.

Hi Andy, hope your car is still looking very shiny and well. It a bit too late for me to change now had done and spend too much on it. After I sell my X5 4.6is than I will be going for a Porsche Panamera Twin Turbo only after installing my audio system in my X6 as a daily drive.

I recently got my X5M ECU tuned by powerchip also. Going to do a dyno around early Oct.

How does this compare to Dinan's tune for the 5.0??
Dinan now has their Stage 1 tune for the X6 5.0
http://www.dinancars.com/store/produ...cat=842&page=1 Their dyno numbers are: " maximum output of 495 horsepower at 5000 rpm and 573 lb-ft torque at 3500 rpm" boost increased from 9.8 to 14.0 psi Their retail price is $3000.00 USD Wondering how these numbers compare to the Power chip numbers? I have not seen their dyno numbers at the wheels, only the raw numbers. I would think they will be doing a stage 2 at some point as well. I already have the performance upgrade from the factory, but I want more power and hopefully throttle response, shifting, and some of the torque management have been tweaked as well. Any way of getting the raw numbers on your vehicle in HP and torque (ft/lbs) for comparison??
