F85 / F86 Drilled Rotors on 2014 E71 X6M

Hey everyone!

I've been trying to do some research and i've come across that F85 Rotors front and back should work on a E70 X5M, But upon my research i've come to find out that The Rear and Front Center Hub Bore for the X6M is different, it's 74 up front and 72.5 in the back... is that correct? Some sites are showing just 74.

I'd like to install F85 / F86 drilled rotors onto my 2014 E71 X6M.

Has anyone done this modification? or have you guys gone a different route? I mainly would just like the aesthetics of the drilled rotors, not so much for the performance gain/loss.

Any input would be greatly helpful!

The Russian here was one of the first to fit FXX rotors on an E70/71 ///M

Bilbofraggins haha thank you so much, seems like every useful post ive come across, you've been a part of thanks for the link! i also saw some russian guy on youtube do it aswell just now, but just wanted to reconfirm. on the youtube video it seems to sit just fine, im guessing since the studs will be there, i should probably be fine, and wheels kindof sandwhiching it, that 1.5mm difference just makes me slightly nervous on the rear hub.

Would swapping the rear hub flange be necessary to do the rear f86 brakes given the 1.5mm difference? I saw this video on youtube :

He kindof just whisks past the rear rotors sadly :/

Thanks in advance! and thanks Bilbofraggins

To be honest, I'm not 100% that the rear hub of an F85/F86 is 74.1.....meaning there may be no issue. Have you confirmed this?

I'm still away's from my first rotor change (on second set of pads).....but have a full set of the OEM stuff ready to go although I am in no rush.

I get my vehicle (s) inspected every year by BMW under their 55 Point program here in Canada. They have not picked rotor thickness up yet...I'm at least borderline...but don't track the vehicle.
