So basically start with any price of plastic. I used an extra plastic electrical junction box left over from our remodel.
Got it work with a dremel. Use metal guides to cut, but more importantly to bevel the edges. Once you have the right size, just a few coats of plastic paint+primer and a few coats of gloss clear finish (for gloss grilles). Or matte clear finish for matte grilles. I still haven't come up with nifty way of attaching it to the grille, but I'm thinking some plastic clips so I can pop it on/off. Or so anyone who sees my car parked and likes it, can just easily help himself to my crafty DIY. Lol |
