X5?
My co-worker has changed his mind a million times about getting a new car. Today he proposed an X5, and asked what I thought. I told him that he better make sure he either has an extended warranty or make sure he has the money to pay for repairs. He was looking at one with 70k miles for $20K. I told him you're crazy.
I didn't even think about a CPO, but I'll bring it up tomorrow. What other things should he look out for? I keep telling him to test drive everything he talks about, but he just keeps changing his mind and saying he doesn't need to. |

The end of my warranty was one of the reasons I got rid of my X. It was an amazing vehicle, one that did anything I asked of it, but I didn't want it without a warranty...which is how I ended up at E90Post.

I completely understand. I really don't know anything about X5's, the only trucks/SUV's I know about around Chevy's. When it comes to cars I've learned as much as I can about euro cars.
My friend isn't really a car guy so I have trouble explaining things to him b/c I only know how to explain things in a car guy way (if that makes any sense). I've just told him to go test drive what he likes other wise he'll never know. He wanted to know if he could fit a couch in it. I told him I have no idea, but if it's a love seat probably. Then again I don't know about the height. Anyways.... |

The wife has a '05 X5 4.8is. It is an amazing machine. I really do not know why they do not just cut the BS and put the "M" badge on it.
Any who... We did have one problem with it, and it was fixed under warranty. Other then that, it has been great!! Also, surprisingly, the gas mileage isn’t that bad. We are going to order the ’08 X5 4.8is some time in the spring.

Thanks for the tips guys. I mentioned to him about a CPO today, he said he would look into it. We'll see how much help he ask for though.
