Active autoworke catted downpipes
Man these things are beautiful. I didn't get a chance to start the car yet but the installation was so easy. Literally drops in. Perfect fitment to the turbo side and also to the exhaust side.
Some pics from today. Last edited by Dawgz; 07-22-2021 at 10:07 AM.. |

They look nice man. Love my AA downpipes - great craftsmanship.
I'm guessing this means you didn't end up getting the simulators to work properly? Edit: just saw your update post.

Ya man, those things will take time to tweak and I don't have the time any more to do it. Are your AA downpipes catted or catless? |

Please let us know how it goes with the catted downpipes and the inspection. Are you reflashing your tune to stock or just re-enabling the O2 sensors? I think I will need the AA downpipes in the near future to pass inspection, and wanted to know for sure that they work as advertised.
Thanks, Steve |

So install is done. A few things to note.
The downstream sensor on bank 2 (driver side) is now a little too far away on the pipe and won't be able to reach the engine side connector. So I had to cut the sensor wires and extend them about 5". Secondly, the studs on the bottom are a quarter inch too short. I barely got one nut in each bank, cannot get the other ones on. Will need to take these out...pop the welded studs off and weld in longer studs (M8x45mmx1.25) |

Maybe AA put the downstream further away for a little extra room behind the high flow cats? Seems like they know where the sensor bung should be since they got it right on the catless.

Ya, I was surprised by it as well but the downstream ones sit further down on the pipe than OEM or catless ones. The stud issue boggles my mind. |
