Serpentine & AC belts
Saw a few videos and but non had information on whether or not I have to jack the car from underneath. I need to plan ahead for such a tight work area. Vehicle is a 2009 X5 (E70).
Can someone confirm? |

No jacking required. You'll have to remove the electric fan which will give you more room. Bear in mind that the A/C belt is a stretch belt and will require a special tool to install.

I was a post where some used a cloth to remove/install the AC belt. There is also a video of turning the crank bolt and then use the E12 to release the tension.

I saw that too. Give it a go and report back with how it works. Honestly the Lisle tool I have is a pain to work with still.
