Another detail added. Have you ever dreamed of getting a ride in a real deal BMW Race Car? I had this experience at Palm Beach International Raceway back in February when I rode shotgun in the Z4 GTLM and it was a rush!

Well guess what, for a donation you can also take a ride in one and even have Bill Auberlen as the driver:

I know right! That's a lot of money left on the table...
It's only a lot of money on the table if they ever actually give you the rebate. Never received my M2 rebate after 3 years of waiting and contacting so I didn't renew

So since nobody has said yet, is a CCA membership required for any of this?

Pretty unfortunate only just now hearing about it but I'm going to try to make it happen if I can - assuming a CCA membership isn't required.

I've never not received rebates on new cars and CPO cars I've bought over the past decades (member since 1980). The only cases I've ever seen denied were when the specifics of the requirements were not met such as submitting it too late, etc. If you met all the requirements, a simple conversation with the national office should have had your rebate on its way...if not, I'd have contacted the board in writing with the detailed specifics showing how it was a fully qualified submission.

Did all this and then some already, not worth it to me to waste any more time on it. Purchase was 03/19, paperwork submitted in 04/19, car was delayed for knee airbag, pickup delayed until 06/19, visited the office while doing PC delivery - told me to wait 8 to 12 weeks, nothing had arrived by October, I moved for work in November, was told to re-submit my paperwork with my new address, wait another 8-12 weeks, then Covid, more delays, nothing ever arrived.

I've had discussions with several people here in the past few years about it, the last time I reached out in good faith with advice from another member I received a "sorry it's too late now" message.

I am in the same boat as you. I have never “qualified” for a CCA rebate. I have always gotten some type of incentive from BMW which CCA said disqualified me for a rebate. As an example I got a fleet discount on my M2 which they said disqualified me.

Can we please lets keep on topic, any rebates discussions can be handled by calling National directly as none of us have hands on rebates.

Regarding the event being CCA only the answer is NO, much of this is Open to all, the reason you are JUST hearing about it is because you are NOT a CCA member. We have been announcing this directly to our members in addition to Bimmerpost.

Caravan from FL to SC and the Sunday Mountain runs, this involves activities needing insurance so you need to be CCA member. Everything else is open to the public.

To be clear, CCA does not have heavy involvement in this event. M Chapter has Sunday activities to create more drive towards the event given that we have a partnership with the BMW Performance Center which allows us to make events at the BMW PC. M Chapter requested the CCA Headquarters so we can host the Cars and Coffee there.

The main event, being a Performance Center one, means that M Chapter will help promote and add activities to ensure its a weekend event not just a one day item.

Hope that clear up any confusions regarding CCA questions.

For those with rebate issues, please understand that CCA is only the administrator of the rebate program. BMWNA actually renews the program every year (and could end it at any time) and pays out the rebate from their end. CCA essentially only confirms club membership before sending to BMWNA. Rebate exceptions have grown throughout the years, which could cause some not to be eligible, but this only happens in a small number of instances.

Sorry a little off-topic, are all cars eligible for a rebate if part of the BMWCCA? I haven't heard too much of this at my dealer...even with the M car guys.

I grabbed this video at Targa 66 back in February, many of these same cars will be at the Performance Center on Saturday, I am trying to bend some arms at BMW NA to also get some of these race cars on display at the Sunday Cars and Coffee!

Would be curious to know if the stars and stripes GTR will be there, I haven't seen that car since 2001 and it's basically what started my journey into automotive enthusiasm as a kid. Been chasing it down ever since and never been able to make it when it appears in public.

It absolutely WILL be there. I will look back to make sure I edited the post to reflect which cars will be there.

Even better, you can BUY a ride along in this car with Bill driving it.

You are welcome, better late than never. I missed it back in 2016 for my M2, but signed up for CCA and got $500 off my M2 Competition.

If anyone has specific questions on ANYTHING happening this weekend feel free to PM me, there is a lot of info in the links and a lot going on so it can get confusing but bottom line is YOU DON'T WANT TO MISS THIS WEEKEND EVENT!

Any BMW CCA member coming from Florida or on the way up (8-10 hour drive) can join me. This is the same route I do every year for MX1 celebration and I cap it at 15 cars, I still have some space. We do 4 stops for gas\breaks and a stop for a quick lunch. I'm closing registration in 2 days.

Looks like I could also do the 3 year an have that year requirement bumped down to 6 months. That should work. Thanks for the link.
