Blower Motor issues
Lately my 35d has been giving me this strange issue where the blower motor basically does nothing on startup, but as the car runs the fan will eventually return to its normal state. I've also been getting the battery warnings on the IDrive. Is it safe to assume that the issue is battery related?

It doesn't have to be battery related.
My car doesn't run the fans very fast when i first start on the AUTO setting, I believe it's intentional. If the water temperature can't provide any heat, there's no point in blowing like crazy. Another cause might be a faulty blower motor, I've had one fail on me before. The issue started with what you described, that the blower motor wouldn't blow very fast at first, but after a while i could force it up to speed. It only lasted a while, then the blower motor wouldn't start at all. |

I agree that it sounds like it's just not blowing heat right when it starts up beacuse it knows the ceramic heater isnt warm yet. If your blower motor is being inconsistent, then the blower motor on these cars is actually sinfully simple to swap out.
