Brake Pads worn but Discs are good -Change both still?

Hey, has anyone else had this with their X6, I have about 3000 miles left on my brake pads, so would like them replaced in the next month or so. My garage is saying I need to also have my discs replaced at the same time, even though the discs do not 'need' to be replaced. Does anyone know why this is? If I ignore their advise and only get the brake pads done, will it cost further down the line?
Anyone's experience in this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If the rotors are within tolerance and the only issue is worn pads....change the pads....bed in properly and you will be fine...I have a 2013 X6M...I'm on second set of pads....original rotors....
