Thanks to Sophisticated Redneck for the lead on heat wrap. I had some left over so just kept wrapping, lol. I still need to get under the heatshield..will do soon.
UPDATE: I bought from Amazon bc it was a little bit cheaper than DEI's website. I ordered Qty.2 p/n 010405, 0.5"-1.25" by 3' long. I also ordered Qty.2 p/n 010457, 0.75" by 3' long. The pic I posted represents using qty one each of the above. I had 4" left over of one, don't recall which. Note that the stitching is weaker than I expected, don't pull on it too much or it may unravel a little bit. I ordered this bc it was easy to install and you can cut to length. I bought cool tape 010408 thinking I may need it for the edges after cutting, but I did not need it. It went on solidly. Also, I measured with a rope before cutting, but you should expect to cut an extra 1/2" for every bend in the hose...my guess and ref only.

RL18 Looks like you moved the position of the MAF sensor. Wasn't it closer to the turbo intake before? I'm looking to do something similar to what you did, would you be kind enough to list out the parts you used along with the lengths? Thanks!

Front brakes (rotors still good, replaced the pads)
Replaced the rear brakes (pads/rotors) Flushed the brake fluid Installed the Stealth Hitch (love it) Installed the BMS Stage 1 harness (scoots like a scalded cat now) Just like the Sprint Booster (transforming the car dramatically), the BMS stage 1 especially with SB and in ///M mode ( holy mother's of all cows), is how it should have came from the factory. It's not too aggressive and is just the right amount of power delivery. Last edited by quick; 05-20-2020 at 10:26 AM.. |

Starting from turbo is 3" to 3.5" adapter > 3.5" coupler > 3.5" elbow > maf sensor > afe filter Here's the afe filter link: https://afepower.com/afe-power-72-90...d-7-air-filter I don't have the sizes of everything but the only part that needed any trimming is the 3.5" elbow. Other than that everything fit together.

Detailed my car over the weekend. My parents decided they wanted their 535 and X3 done as well so I didn’t get to do a full paint correction on the X5 but it cleaned up well enough. All 3 cars got the same treatment.
Full interior clean-leather cleaned and conditioned (Nextzett cockpit cleaner and leather care) Stripped plasti dip off the roof rails- will be vinyl wrapped in the future. Wheels and engine degreased and dressed ( Napoleon Wheel & Iron cleaner, Chemical Guys v7 degreaser and Adams In & Out spray) Paint was washed, decon’d, clayed, sealed and topped. ( Fictech foam, Nanolex wheel & iron cleaner, Adams clay lube, Sonax Spray N’ Seal, Nexzett perfect Shine) Glass was scrubbed clean and sealed ( Stoners Invisible Glass, Nextzett Glass Sealant) Forgot to get pics of my engine bay but here’s the X3. My starting and end results were similar Before: After:

Hey guys new to the forum.
I have a bmw x5 2010/8 35i. Its a right hand drive. The transfer case has failed and the closest market to me is the usa. I am searching for a replacement transfer case for a reasonable price...below 1500usd...Could anybody point in the right direction to find one? In particular where I can establish the correct part number as I am getting conflicting information on that. Any assistance would be appreciated. |

Flashed xHP Stage 3 transmission tune tonight. Won't get a chance to drive it until tomorrow when I'll try to get some miles in for the adaptations to adjust themselves. Hopefully the shifts feel a bit more crisp!

I’ll be creating a thread on the x5m bumper install and review on the bumper and lights once I finish installing it all.
