Yes, would like to know as well. Anyone remove the oem tips or is everyone cutting them off?

Thanks for the positive words... ideally, I would have preferred 3.75" tips but these Dimisa 3.5" tips popped up already mounted on the exhaust, so I decided to buy it

Sound slightly louder on cold start (love it....clip to follow) and aesthetically world of difference

Here's the thread to follow and unfortunately the original tips would have to be cut out and since I didn;t want to cut them, I waited until these came along ( I still have my original all in one piece)

I did the muffler delete last weekend. I installed an X-pipe and added pipes to extend to the bumper with new tips I bought on ebay. The tips I got look like the stock tips. The finish on the old tips was coming off and they just didn't look good. Mine is just an msport, not an X5M. It gave it just the right amount sound and a good tone. Sounds great if you really get on it.

Next I plan on doing a tranmission tune and an engine tune to make it a little faster.

Garage List
Flushed and changed out my Brake fluid, using Motive power bleeder. Piece of cake. Also just got my Dragy and did a 1/4 mile run: 12.65 at 109 MPH. I'll try again because I need to use launch control.

I removed the plastics in the lower clamshell for the hatch and coated with a bed liner product to help with wear and sliding off the lower clamshell when sitting on it.

Looks good. Is that stuff good at resisting scratches?

How did you get the hatch piece with the handle off? I removed the screws along the bottom edge, removed the screw under the handle but felt like it was still attached. I was a little nervous about pulling harder and cracking something but maybe I just need to man up lol.

I hope so . It covered the existing scratches up on the plastic really well. How well it holds up...TBD.

The handle needs to come off 1st. To do so, remove the cap at the pivot point and remove the screw. There is another screw to remove below the handle. Next remove the five screws which attach the plastic to the lower clam shell.

Now you're at the more difficult part...There are two of theses (link below) holding part part #8 to (see "trim panel part diagram" link below) the metal lower clam shell. Pop these out. There is one on both sides of the latch opening.

Next, separate part #8 & #11 by using a longer flat head screw driver to release the latches on part #11. See the link below to figure out where the latches are located.

Awesome, thanks! I had forgot to mention I got the handle off and removed that screw too. Looks like I just need to apply a little more pressure to pop those clips out.

Started the complete tear down

Have the dreaded turbo return oil line leak. gonna tackle it myself..I plan on taking my time as this is not my DD...BMWNA wanted to replace the engine due to Bang vs BMW class action lawsuit for around $9k out of my pocket. Damn truck is only worth $13k tops....

In the process I plan on doing the coolant y-pipe, catless down pipes, crankshaft tubes, all the turbo oil lines....etc.

Any other suggestions as long as I got ripped apart?
I did the plugs and coils last winter..
Should take about 2 weeks....I plan on....

Wrap your y-pipe like I did (pic below), wrap your downpipes too in DEI Titanium lava wrap, good time to check your wastegates. Should be closed drum tight at -10psi, easy to adjust while out

Looks about right, would take me 10-12 hours to do that work and I have had the turbos on and off about 5 times now playing around with everything so I have become very efficient at it.
