Going to Mpact East?

I just registered my X5M for the roll race event on Friday and the show on Saturday...
Mark your calanders: July 8+9th is coming fast!

I have been going to Bimmerfest for a few years. The event itself has always been enjoyable, but the new venue sucked! It was nothing more than a dust and gravel bowl. I will not be going back unless they move it to a better location. Mpact, on the other hand will be excellent at beautiful Pocono Raceway with a host of vendors and roll racing on Friday!

Looking forward to this.
Hoping you will be there to represent and share your X5M!

did the hybrids x6m have something under the hood that requires more space and that was the reason for dif kinda hood for those models? At least this is what I thought. In any case I think it looks that much better, I'm glad I did it!

All set in done was $2400, I got OEM hood and parts needed for the swap (but really only needed the under hood cover, clips and couple plastic stoppers) everything else transferred nicely from original hood. I ordered it from guy on eBay, he's BMW parts seller from PA, I didn't want to deal with body shops etc., so the price included, hood, additional parts, painting and shipping!
It's expensive mod but I always wanted it so I went for it!

If anybody wants, needs original mcb hood or primed Hamann replica hood let me know

Just some useful info for those who’s planning to do the Powerdome in the future:

41617275285 Powerdome X6M facelift aluminum hood
51487216990 Underhood insulation
51481915964 Plastic Rivet (qty. 33)
51237265310 Stop buffer (qty. 2)

That’s all the parts that required on my 2013, everything else I transferred from original hood.
For earlier models at least for 2011, Nozzle Array Window also was required as it wasn’t the same, part number 61667275175, in my case I didn’t need to use it!

As far as X5D goes, I believe the only hood options are Vorsteiner or Hamann, I don't think there are any OEM versions for main X5 line.
