Hello!

I am selling my immaculate and tastefully modded BMW X5M. After a decade of AMG's, I jumped into the M and it has changed the way I feel about cars. I now understand what it is to "drive" a car; the BMW slogan "The Ultimate Driving Machine" is the most accurate slogan of them all.

I purchased this car about a year ago and have only put about 5K miles on it. I initially bought the car because we needed an SUV for our first baby, and now that we have another one due Christmas day, I need something bigger. Car has been used to transport a newborn and has been garage kept and pampered with the finest products out there. Still has new car smell and by the looks of it it may as well be a '13. In fact, I will pay for an uBer, and lunch, to a reputable form member to come up and verify my statements.

The Details:

Vin:5YMGY0C57BLK27001
New Pirelli P-Zeros - ~4moths ago
New OEM Pads front and rear ~4 months ago
Injectors replaced at dealer about a month ago as preventative maintenance

Build Packages:

Driver's Assistance Package - rear view camera w/ top view, HUD, auto high beams
Cold Weather Package - heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, ski bag
Premium Sound Package - enhanced sound, iPod & USB adapter, satellite radio
Rear Climate Package - 4 zone climate control, rear side window shades

Options:

Soft close automatic doors
Carbon Leather trim
side view camera
comfort access keyless entry
automatic tailgate
Combox control (build code 6VC)

The only package this car does not have is the Active Ventilated Seat package.

MODS:

Velos Tune and the Velos handheld device to upload tunes. You can read numerous threads about the power these things make. I cannot quote numbers because I've never been on the dyno but I can tell you that you can comfortably run a new 991 911 and you will be victorious.

Eisenmann Race Exhaust. If you are shopping for one of these you probably know about Eisenmann. There are a couple high quality exhaust systems out there but Eisenmann is consistently the crowd favorite. This is my third Eisenmann set up on a German V8 and they sound they produce is often imitated, never replicated.

Full leather dash, leather stitching, feels like the inside of a Range. It was not the most expensive mod, but easily the best one equipped on the truck. The work was performed at a local BMW of NA Certified dealership.

Front and rear Carbon Fiber spoilers. Quality and fitment is spot on, the CF is dark gray/charcoal unlike some of the other cheap yellow/brown ones.

Suspension is 100% stock, and there are 10mm and 12MM F/R spacers installed for that subtle sporty look.

WARRANTY:

The BEST and IMO the biggest selling point is the warranty that comes with the car. I have a Carchexs TITANIUM exclusionary policy that I will include in the purchase of the car. This is a bulletproof, extremely reputable policy that cost me around $6K a year ago. not sure if you can still get one on these cars but this one has it. The policy expires January of 2020 or 105,000 miles!!!!!

You can LITERALLY buy this car, drive it like it was meant to be driven, and NOT WORRY ABOUT ANYTHING.

Current Mileage is 39,444. Everything you see is yours for $45,000.

Enjoy the pictures, and if you have any questions/comments, please reach out to me directly at 310-600-5044

Thanks for the kind words sir. It is a fantastic car indeed! Feeling a bit depressed about selling as my only realistic option for a bigger car is going to be a Tahoe/Yukon etc.. I'd love to get into an Escalade but no way in hell im dropping $80K on a car that's gonna rattle apart in two years..

Beautiful, clean vehicle. Just curious though, how would a warranty claim work with having those mods? Wouldn't the warranty company try to deny any claim that they could argue was caused by the mods?

Thanks bud!

Yeah I guess they could, I have not had to deal with that so I couldn't tell you. I do know for a fact that dealers are able to warranty repair cars that are HEAVILY modded. I think my exhaust shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for the kinds words brotha! I've had a couple people come out to look and I've had a couple BS offers but no takers yet.

Not at all too beat up about it. I went for a drive yesterday morning and almost no traffic anywhere. I realized that no matter what I buy it'll be a disappointment.

I test drive a new Denali and it was a load of junk. The cabin was all plastic and it felt cheap. Motor made a good noise but it didn't go anywhere when you punch it. We've been spoiled.

If it doesn't sell, I'll keep it and make it work. Just bought the wife a new GLE so with two SUV's we can make it happen.

If only more people would take the time to put a proper "for sale" listing in place.

Good luck with the sale! The X5M looks very clean.

Looks like an awesome car and you did a spectacular for sale post.

I own a 2014 Cadillac Escalade with 41,xxx miles and am considering downsizing. I bought it CPO a few months back for a little more than your asking price. Maybe we would be able to work out some sort of trade? The only mod is a Corsa catback exhaust. It sounds completely stock on the inside with zero drone and sounds so good from the outside; subtle but angry. Only problem is that I am located in New Jersey.

If you're interested at all shoot me a PM! If not, GLWS. I'm sure the next owner will be overjoyed to have this! Good luck with the baby on the way as well

Thanks for the offer brother. I'm currently looking at 16+ models and even then I'm having a real hard time coming out of pocket $10+ for a decent one. I just don't get it.

In 2000, I bought a brand new, 14 miles on her, Chevy Tahoe Limited. It was the last year of the old body. It had a ground effects kit, dual tone leather, the 5.3L V8 vortex engine, and it was a beast. Cost: $24,750. That same year, the BMW X5 was $55,000.

How, why, does a "loaded" new Tahoe today cost $60K?? I mean, it's not any better. Still the same car, just freshened up and some cool tech. Same motor, same plastic interior, same BS.

The other day I had to haul some closet doors from Lowes for the baby's room. I folded the rear seats in the X5 and when I unloaded, I went to fold the rear seats back. When I did, they were heavy. When they clicked into place, the CLICKED. No rattle, no cheap clamp, they stopped with force and stayed, I realized then the difference between German and US made. The quality and engineering that goes behind these cars is next level. Everything about them is well thought out and built with quality.

I don't what the hell im gonna do.

Keep the x5M
i sold my 750x sport (old man car) - and got my x5M bc had twins -- now my ladies are 3 -- the wife has 13 x5 sport -- so on weekends we take her car as I don't have child seats in the M (better off)

FYI - the Velos tune should not affect the warranty -- and if the car needs some work and by chance they need to reset the car - it will wipe the Tune - but you can just add it back --- you can also wipe the Tune prior to bringing the car into shop if your woried about it

My brother got loaded Tahoe - 16 - i think he paid in 70's for his? waaay to big

if your wife has the Benz -- use that for your weekend family car and Keep the x5M
when I sell mine -- it'll be to buy the New Body Style x5m - so 2015+

I have the same tune as you -- the same Carbon Fiber Lip -- same spacers -- only thing different on mine is the wheels (i'll upload a pic just to show you) -- get 215 style wheels I have and go have fun with x5M -- its very very very fast SUV -- no one beats me

Gorgeous ride brotha.

Thanks for the advice, I am gonna keep her. I have the warranty and have no payments on the car. No reason to sell. Both baby seats are in wife's GLE, and it's got a bigger trunk than the X5M.

If someone came along and appreciated the ride and wanted to pay me my price, I may sell but until then, I'm loving every minute of it!

Hi Guys!

This is back up. What should we ask for it?

Currently at 59,000 miles, a Megan Racing Exhaust, and H&R lowered with HRE wheels. Warranty until January 2020 or 105K miles. Also brand new front pads and rotors and rear pads purchased from Jim Faulk BMW, 3 months ago? Have invoice.

I'm thinking if I should do a whole new spread or if should just trade it in?

Not yet man. Having a really hard time. I'm looking closely at a 2016 MBZ E63S, a 2016 GLE63S, and the 2016 X5M.

I just read a thread last night on the F85 where some guys were saying the F85 is junk.

They want way too much $ for a GLE63, and I haven't been able to find a good example of an F85 for under $70. The problem I'm having is that these were so limited in production that now to find a good clean example is more than I can afford.

The good news is that I still have this beauty covered for the rest of the year. I feel like it's already hit a low point in pricing, and the truck is flawless. I'll make a few grand less selling at the end of the year, but I'll save twice that buying one of the 16 models I mentioned which would then be four years old..

I was really high on the F10s, F06s, and the F85s for a while but really cooled off on all of them. The F85s out there that are under $70K either don't have the options I want or have a ton of miles. Plus the issues those guys are having with the wheels clicking and the brake squeal sound like a nightmare. I'm tired of getting cars I have to fix constantly...I feel like that's been a common theme with all my BMWs...but I just can't see myself in a Merc. no matter how sweet they are...and they are.

I was looking at Comp. Pack F80s as well for a while but decided against that as well. Starting to seem like I don't know what I want so I'm still beating up on this E70. First-world problems...

Yeah, I feel like E70s are bottoming out. The 16s you're looking at still have ways to go. That's a good strategy.
