I've had H&R springs on other cars and have never been a fan. Ride quality is harder and the drop is a little more than advertised.

Just want to say great job with the build.

I was searching for a clean white one for the longest time (18mos!) before I compromised and got my black one since it checked every box except being white. I had already everything planned out nearly identical to what you've done: 3rd row, color matched trim, gunmetal 214s, deletes, android HU, Eibachs, etc.

You obviously have good taste lol.

Hi,

Could you please post more info about your dash cluster such as :
What cluster are the bezels & needles from?
How hard was the cluster to disassemble?
Where did you source the 'X5d' logo from thats on the gauge face?

Thanks

Great thread and car!

Are those X5 M trim pieces and skirts? Looks like you've had them for a while, but where did you get them from?

I have no idea. The dealer included them when I bought the x5 new in 2012. I've tried to find another brand new set myself but I believe they have been discontinued.

Technically I am still using my factory cluster. All I did was take the bezels and needles from a x5m cluster and transfer it over. The cluster is pretty straight forward to take apart. As for the gauges, I found someone on eBay who sells custom gauge faces.

Thank you!
I had the factory black trim pieces painted white by a bodyshop back in 2012 when it had about 2000km on it. To this day they have not chipped or pealed and have held up great.

Dude, the leather interior is goals. I would LOVE to have the extended leather, and I crave better audio. I’m going to be soundproofing my doors soon, and will start chipping away at small audio upgrades when I have the doors apart.
I should look around for a leather HUD dash.... I wonder how a black leather dash would look in my saddle car. Probably fine, I’m thinking.... your car is clean and awesome as always, enjoy the miles!

Thanks for the info. That's what I've been debating doing, just worried the color won't match well with the almost 10 yr old body. Guess I'll just have to try it and see!
