e70 X5M Filtered Air Duct Hoses - Recall?

Hello All,

I was changing my vacuum pump recently and in the process had to remove the PCV valves. In doing that the flex lines attached to the valves just fell apart in my hands. I have been doing a bit of research on how others have addressed this issue and saw some mention of a recall regarding these lines?

Does anyone have any information on this or know how I could look into that?

Has anyone replaced these baked plastic flex lines with hose and clamps? I saw one thread that eluded to it but I didn't couldn't find any clear opinions on how it worked out.

Any help/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

There's a service bulletin on the crossover line (the one that runs along the top of the engine) that they'll replace for you, but the lines down to the intake manifolds are not covered. I was able to get BMWNA to agree to pay for the labor if I paid for the parts ~$200 to replace the lines down to the manifolds.

I have seen others who have redone the whole crankcase ventilation with silicone hoses and normal hose clamps. I think Sophisticated Redneck might have done it and posted pics.

If you're talking about something different, I apologize now.
