E70 M calipers on the E53

Howdy yall!

I didnt know if anyone over in this forum section might know the answer I am trying to find.

I found the amazing thread linked below, of how to raid E70 and F85 brake components onto the E53 and its something I am actively looking to do.

https://xoutpost.com/bmw-sav-forums/...o-upgrade.html

What is NOT answered though is the rear calipers. I have searched and reached out to the author of the thread, but he hasnt been on in over 6 months, and the questions about the rears haven't been answered.

I am coming from a E53 4.4, so know that the E53 4.6/8is rears are better and can upgrade there. That said, the E70 M rears are MASSIVE (almost the size of the fronts in rotor) but a single piston as well.

Does anyone know if the E70 M rears will work for an E53 like the fronts will? (with the appropriate rotors of course)

Thanks!

The one step further crazy idea is if the F85 front calipers would fit! 6 pot instead of 4 which would be amazing.

Since the front rotors are the same size on the E70 M and F85, one would assume the caliper would fit the rotor the same, but question would be if it fits the knuckle on the hub.

E70 M
Front rotors: 395 x 36
Front Calipers: 34117847241/2 (4 piston)
Rear rotors: 385 x 24
Rear Calipers: (matches F85) single piston

F85 M
Front rotors: 395 x 36
Front Calipers: 34117852967/8 (6 piston)
Rear rotors: 385 x 24
Rear Calipers: (matches F70 M) single piston
