What are you lowered on Saleen? Everything looks very good, great choice painting the front side vent splitter to match the wheels.

The tips are supersprint 120mm (4.7"). At 5" you will most likely be hitting the bumper surround. I have very little clearance right now and are already a bitch to clean!

thanks
Lowered on H&R 1.2" rides perfect
I colour matched the splitter and the rear trunk roundel
I colour matched the door trim and the aero kit obviously
rims too.. they are real style 215...i colour matched them also, with H&R spacers
I was going to colour match the running boards, but I thought it would be overkill and too much
I can make the 5" tips work, its tight but it will work....yours convinced me in black it wouldn't be too rice.
thanks

Nice work. Wish the Eibachs came down more in the rear like that. I was thinking about doing the rear roundel mount too but was worried about getting it back on there perfect since there are no guide holes. correct?

Yeah my Eibachs settled at only .5" drop in the rear. Not too happy about that but it rides very well.

Thanks for the clarification. Did they sand/paint the door mouldings in place or did you end up buying some primed mouldings for the m / msport?

Hey Saleen - Could you do me a favor and post close-up pics below the skirts? I would like to see how they aligned them. Whether its the same alignment used on the skirts the trim were meant to be mounted to or if they pulled them out for better alignment. Do you happen to know if they ended up cutting off the alignment nipples on the top edge of the trim and just used the 10 c-clip/bolts + mount tape to secure or did they drill holes for the nipples too (absolutely no room for error)?

I am working on making a template right now off the side skirts that the trim were meant to be mounted to(w/holes already drilled) but this will get interesting due to the curved surfaces. Built up a couple layers of painters tape over the whole surface, punched holes and marked for alignment grooves at the edge so I can properly align the template when transferred to the other piece. Layering it up should make it transferable without stretching or distorting but the slightly different curve could prove to be a disaster. Which is why I am leaning towards cutting the nipples off the trim and just using all the other mount points instead which will allow me to have a little more wiggle room without the risk of having an exposed hole on running board due to a very slight misalignment. Thoughts?

Anyone have recommendations for making a better template? Sorry for the long winded post.

90% of the skirts line up...the 2 ends need to be pulled tight...little brackets were made to pull them as tight as possible and then an eith of an inch bead of silicone was used...about 2-3 inches of it....my truck is black ..you don't notice it at all..
we cut off alignment nipples and free handed everything...
the used c-clips, no glue at all....

my advice is to cut the nipples off...and feel your way to an optimal fit
do everything off the car...makes it easier

guild the skirts by feel...you'll see the optimal fit
you need two people to do this ....gets awkard...

Thanks for the additional info Saleen. Was really trying to avoid cutting the nipples off in case I wanted to go plan B and just use the skirts that were meant to be used instead of the running boards but seems impossible otherwise.

Good to know that the two ends dont fit perfectly, makes me lean more towards not cutting anything and just buying the proper supports and using the skirts instead. Decisions.. decisions..

Anymore pics?

Sorry not the plate itself. The black frame around the plate.

Those are the two main things that really pissed me off. Once those were out of the way, everything was smooth sailing. Sort of. Since I didn't have instructions, I wasn't sure what to do. Luckily, someone on the forum was able to post pics and somewhat of a DIY. It helped a lot.

Bringing this thread back to life. nigxdoof, I also got the rep kit but the front lip portion only. As you said, it does not come with a PCD harness/holder or hardware. Literally just the lip in the box. With that being said, how did you mount it? Drill directly into the bumper and use 3m tape on the middle section to hold it to the car? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Those tips look really clean. Which tips did you go with? And curious what is the diameter of the inlet and outlet piping?

It is a gloss carbon fiber frame but cant find this particular one anymore but there are definitely alternatives out there.

Thank you, I think they fit the truck perfectly! It's the supersprint 120mm kit. Took a month to come in but worth it. Cut the OEM piping couple inches before muffler, use new hangers and clamp on. The piping is 3" and flared to the tips edge. I believe this kit only works with the diesel oem muffler, otherwise you will need their catback without custom piping.

So it's a full muffler replacement or only replacement tips That you used? Just want to make sure I'm understanding you correctly.

I see in your profile you have a 35i. You would need the mufflers and tips to work unless you did something custom. Since I have a diesel the tip kit lines up with the oem muffler outlets so I was able to get away with buying just tips.
