New on the X5,

After driving Lots of Beemers E28 535, E46 330xi, E90 330i and E38 750i, now a X5 on the driveway.

Also in the garage an motor bike BMW R1150RT and Jensen Healey (1974)

In Holland is it a very expensive car to buy and drive, there are also not to manny drivers that give time on there car. So i found my way here.

It was a hard find, almost every car is imported, has a trailer hook, is a Diesel, or is missing options.

I finaly found one that fits, with loads and the right options for me.


So I hope that I can find answers on my questions.

Got my hands on a laptop with ISTA+ and INPA to day.

Did a check on failure codes, only 2 came up.

One from the sensor air recycling ( changed the filters i will check that)

And a code S 0075 , no communication with head unit ( about 6 million Marks) so its bin there a while, no idee what that is


Had a look at the Milage (just for fun), i did on 3 full tanks about 22,5 Miles per gallon.
Not to bad, but in the city it takes a lot more.
I think that the tyres (275 front and 315 on the rear) also are bad for Milage.

In Holland the gasoline is expensive about 7,4 dollar for one gallon.


But it’s a very Nice car to drive, the steering is a bit heavy,
( i will get used to that) the Engine (3.5i) is more than powerfull enouf and the 8 speed auto is also a very Nice gearbox.

I know a bit from BMW, so i can do some repairs myself, and i can break some lonley hours on the military base,
