New Intake Design Pics
Been working on this for about a year, getting very close to release version. Coming out for the M, 50i, & 35d. Will make 35i version too if enough demand. Massive difference on the 50i, was stuck at 515hp with stock intakes + stage 2 tune, downpipes & JB4. With new turbo inlets & intake power bumped to just a bit over 600hp and dropped 0-60 to 3.6 & 1/4 mile to 11.7. This is on a engine/transmission with 185k miles and no launch control.

They sure are and very soon, getting everything lined up for production as we speak. Have few members who already pre-ordered I will be making for first and then will start taking more orders once those are in production. These are quite expensive and time consuming to make, M version will be cheapest as it doesn't need turbo inlets at 600 and the 50i version will be 700. Comes with full lifetime warranty as I stand behind all of my work. Will post more details as I get closer to launch for those interested.

They sure will be, I will be making a formal announcement before the end of the month when I am ready to take more orders. I am finishing up the latest tweaks to the production of some pre-orders and also going to have full flow bench data and have more performance numbers on how it compares to the stock intakes.

Thank you for the interest everyone, here is an Update: With the new addition of a CNC mill, I can now build fixtures that will allow me to print the air filter boxes much more efficiently with less material wasting supports and labor involved. This has delayed my roll-out but it is for the best and will vastly improve the quality of the intakes & strength making them virtually bulletproof.
I will also be using the mill to produce a complete CCV/Catch can solution for the M & 50i that will allow the use of clean -AN lines and fittings that will compliment the intake for the M & 50i and completely eliminating the need to use the stock plastic corrugated CCV lines that were always failure prone. If the CCV lines are an issue on the 35i & 35d I will also develop separate solutions for those platforms. Will update this thread as more progress is made, getting the new mill dialed in & setup now. |

Do you happen to know if I delete the ccv pipe to the turbo inlets and just run a catch can on the rest of the ccv , would that cause any issues? |

I would love to see the mockup pics for the 35D - even if just a digital pic. Interested to see how you take the single inlet on the side up into this setup. As I said, I'm in for the first set!

I've purchased several unrelated items from OP and I can attest to an honest seller with quality products, this is an awesome alternative to the overpriced monopoly product by RK

The Lower CCV lines run direct to the lower intakes that see both full vacuum and boost, under non-boost conditions, the lower CCV lines are used to vent all Crank Case gases. Under boost conditions, an small internal check valve switches to just the turbo inlet connections as otherwise boost pressure would flow into the crankcase. You can technically block off the lower CCV lines and eliminate the cross-bank connections (this what BMW itself did on the TU update to the s63/n63 platform) and just use the turbo-inlet CCV connections. The turbo inlet connections must stay however as under boost conditions, this is the only place to vent the CC gases. You could also vent to atmosphere or into the exhaust via evac tubes but trust me when I say, the smell is absolutely horrible and is not tolerable for street use. I did several write ups on converting to catch-cans, PM me for more info on how to setup. |

You bet, will post some up soon. Also working with a fellow forum member who has a 35D for final performance and fitment testing on the 35D and will post up pics and performance data once he has his prototype for testing.

Update: I have finished the setup and install of the new CNC mill that I will be using to make a few parts for the intakes: Mounting brackets, screw bosses, & most importantly the fixture plates that will allow me to manufacture the intakes in single piece prints with superior strength & quality that will last the lifetime of the vehicle.
To dial in the mill and get it ready for production, I made up a simple test project: The M paper weight (or pet rock 2.0 lol). This was the very first cuts made on the mill and it turned out exceptionally well. I am going to make up a few more of these as I continue to get everything dialed in and the mill ready for the intake production. I will include one of these with every pre-order of the intakes just as a fun freebie . Expecting to begin intake production in a about a week, will update again as we get closer.
