2010 Carbon Black X5M - bone stock
Just bought this 2010 X5M from Seattle. Bone stock with just under 55,000 miles. It will my wife's daily driver.
On the drive back to Austin I almost ran out of gas, so I had to immortalize this gas station. Last edited by nuwde; 11-22-2019 at 09:34 PM.. |

Nice, congrats
"For sale by owner" right? I remembered seeing it when looking for ours.

Yes, for sale by owner. Inspection came out clean with the exception of the emergency brake not working so I am in the middle of figuring out what to do about that. |

The problem with the emergency brake was the parking brake actuator. Parts $1359, labor $407, tax $110.
Replaced this line on my own for $60 from Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 So far, loving the vehicle! Curious if you all have any suggestions on (preventive) maintenance I can tackle. I like to DIY, but admittedly I'm slow, so having a list I can work on at my own pace before things break is a good strategy for me. Here's a list of things the PO did (he was 2nd owner): Aug 2018 47,636 New radiator return line, hydraulic fluid, and suction pipe; replace front/rear control arm bushings; ; replace both stabilizer bar bushings; replace power steering pump and hoses; fuel pump recall, airbag recall Sep 2019 47,638 replaced stereo system Jan 2019 49,756 oil change Amsoil 5w40 + fuel system cleaner (Part #CNVLM 2007 - I do not know what this is) Mar 2019 50,486 passenger air bag recall Apr 2019 50,517 new OEM battery Lastly, I haven't experienced any impact on driving, but here are the codes that have come up recently: Chassis stabilization malfunction DBC malfunction Servotronic malfunction |

NICE M! When you get some time post some interior pix. I just removed my roof rails, but if I had kept them I like that look with the rack.
JDNY516 just tackled a list of maintenance items, check out his thread. https://www.xbimmers.com/forums/show....php?t=1715451

Thank you for the link, I've got a small list going now!
Been needing to schedule a detail of the car and then it'll be due for some pics. The roof rack came with the vehicle and I like the look of it although I have never used it. The PO lost the key for them. Does anyone know where I can purchase a spare for it? Quote:
