That was exactly what went through my mind when I looked at it, but it's not as hard as it may seem. You have to label things and make sure you remember things when you're putting them back, I almost forgot the gasket for HPFP - LOL. Very very limited space, so it gets a bit frustrating.

It does require some special tools, specially for injector hard lines.

I'm hoping it'll pay off! haha

I haven't been able to post in a while, but I've been making slow progress.

Started putting back cyl 5-8 - cyl 8 hard fuel line was a PIA to torque down.

It is a lot to be honest, just a lot to remove and not having space to get to things can be real frustrating.

I'm glad I didn't break anything in the process Lol

Awesome work! Thanks for sharing all these pix, very helpful. How long is it taking you? And what did you use to clean the cover?

Thank you!!

I'd think that it's a 12-15 hour DIY job tops, but I haven't had the time to consistently work on it. I spent 1-2 hour every other day and it's been about 3-4 weeks now.

I used CRC Engine Degreaser Gel on valve covers and Chemical Guys Orange Degreaser on other not so gunky parts.

Replaced power steering fluid reservoir.

Extracted old fluid from the reservoir, installed the new reservoir, topped it off with new fluid and extracted the old fluid through the return line until I saw fresh fluid come through. I'll do couple of cycles of extraction from the reservoir once I start the truck up.

I think it's a must do, steering feels much lighter now. The process that I followed was more like on the fly (connection to the return line wasn't snug, so I had to pump a lot more than anticipated).
