Maintenance goodies arrived. Fuel filter, DEF fluid (to have on hand), Oil filter, OEM motor oil.

Vehicle in for warranty service: NOx sensor code popped over the weekend. Glad for that 10 yr /120k mile warranty!

Received the tow hitch parts this afternoon as well, having a local indy shop do the installation end of this weekend or next week. Order the rear cargo lift bracket from rbryantaz , Thanks! And ordered rear rotors and brake pads for quick rear brake service.

Thanks for posting your trunk pic! I've been wondering if my cargo carpet was properly installed and this gives me a baseline. If you're going to change the cabin filter, might as well replace the microfilters at the firewall in engine bay, $0.02. Super easy, there are two filters there and when you buy oem or otherwise, they come as a pair.

I need to get better about taking some pictures of progress, but I figured most of you know how an oil change goes so it wasn't worth taking photos. Old motor oil was super dark, I went with OEM 5w-30 diesel since it's real cheap (83-21-2-466-457).

Added differential and transfer case fluid service to the list. Already picked up the parts, just need to find time to get under the vehicle again and somehow obtain this small 14mm hex tool that is needed. Part listing below for anyone who needs it:

Hitch install was done at local indy shop that I use for my E90 M3. They did a great job, super quick. Already did a 1.5 hour tow (~2,500 lbs two horse trailer, empty). Averaged about 20mpg! I'll get a picture next time it's hooked up. In addition, I will most likely be adding a brake controller as well.

Used a $10 walmart pump (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Quicksilv...-Plug/17165291) Worked phenomenally - screws on, pumps the entire bottle. No need to sit there and squeeze the bottle. I did all this without raising the vehicle, I just did it on the ground floor on my back. A little tight but it's do-able.

Successful maintenance afternoon. Was able to get some lift access at a buddies shop. While he worked on the rear brake service, I knocked out the fuel filter replacement, transfer case fluid change and front differential fluid replacement. Everything was very straightforward, even a novice DIYer like myself never felt uneasy. Most of the undercarriage trim pieces are held on by 8mm, 10mm bolts, and fasteners.

Front differential fluid service: the front driver wheel needs to be taken off and there is a trim piece that needs to be removed as well. There is a fill and drain plug for the front diff unlike the rear where there is just one plug.

Fuel Filter replacement: straight forward, (2) 10mm bolts hold the filter in place on a mount. Remove the clip off the electrical harness and the front hose is secured by a screw tie-down (if yours was never previously replaced then it will have a one-time use clip that needs to be cut off). Previous owner replaced the fuel filter at least once, so there was a screw down fastener. Old filter was dated 11.2013! Glad I changed it out

Transfer case fluid: again straightforward with a 14mm hex (very short). Drain and fill plugs. I replaced all plugs with new OEM plugs (total of 5: two for front diff, one for rear diff, and two for TC). Reset adaptations with autologic software.

Rear brakes service: new rotors and pads. Purchased from RockAuto for $150 total shipped.

Next: sourced some used good condition all weather mats. My driver mat is all worn and I don't have a rear cargo mat - this is a must for it's daily duties. Also sourced an E60 M5 cluster for parts. I will be doing a little cluster retrofit to add a little OEM+!

Decent spillage. Especially out of the filter once it is out. Good to have a oil pan handy.

Sourced a cheap E60 M5 cluster off M5board. Utilize the front shell (plastic and silver gauge reds) + red needles from the M5 cluster. I decided against swapping over the white LEDs (for now). We'll see how much I like the OEM orange. Fairly straightforward process.
- (4) T10 torx screens to remove the back half of the cluster
- Push down on (4) clips to remove the front half of the cluster
- Needles can be pulled straight up and out

06.01.20 - All maintenance is up to date! Transmission Service completed this morning. Fluid, gasket, sleeves, megatronic adapter, reset adaptations etc OEM Extended Fender Flares installed as well
