Advice for trailer hitch install near Phoenix AZ?

I live in Canada and need a hitch/wiring for my 2012 X5. I'm over $1K CAD here (about $700 USD) to get a hitch and basic 7-pin wiring installed, but using a third-party harness and without the AHM module. I'm heading to AZ to visit family in late March, so wondering if it would be possible/beneficial to get it installed there, instead.

So, any suggestions? Best to go to an Indy BMW specialist or a hitch specialist?

And does the AHM module impact stability control, transmission function, or anything mechanical like that? If it's only helping to zoom in the rear-view camera to hook up the hitch and disable the proximity warnings when in reverse I can likely live without it. If it will reduce wear on my transmission or adjust my stability control to account for the trailer then it's worth spending the extra.

Our trailer is fairly small (about 3500lbs loaded, with electric brakes and a weight-distribution hitch). Car is a 2012 x35iSportActivity, I think... it's the 3.0L gasoline inline 6.

I installed a Curt Class 3 hitch along with the wiring harness and trailer module from FCP Euro. The install was pretty easy but I never did have the trailer module coded in.

If you install it yourself and then have a specialist code in the trailer module that would be best. like I said, install is pretty easy and I would have coded it in but I dont use a trailer much just my Rocky Mounts bike hitch. A hitch specialist probably wont be able to code in your trailer module.
