Comfort access in 2010 X5 E70 suddenly stopped working

Please help
The comfort access doesn’t work anymore in my car and I can’t figure it out and would rather not take it in.
- comfort access in all 4 handles doesn’t work
- car doesn’t recognize the fob is in the car and can only start it by putting in the fob
- lock/unlock buttons on the fob don’t work
- can only lock/unlock the car from the outside by putting the key into driver door lock
- I’ve replaced the fob battery
- I’ve tried re-initializing the fob in the car

The car recognizes the fob its just not allowing the car to start without the key in the ignition. This happens when you have a trouble code in your comfort access module. you need to read the codes and fix the issue. you can confirm this yourself by clearing the comfort access codes and the fob should work for one start at least.

I have the same troubles !
