CF33 Transmission Error “No message from engine management”
Hello,
I have a 2007 X5. After clearing the engine adaptations the transmission is in failsafe mode. This is a known issue with E70s from start of production to 08/2007. There is a BMW service bulletin SI B24 10 07 that is for the issue. “After clearing adaptations on the engine control module, the transmission may enter failsafe mode with fault code CF33 with the description of "No message from engine management stored in the EGS module" stored. This fault code cannot be cleared” The instructions are ... *Select Transmission->Commands-Clear Adaptations *Close and lock the doors *Wait until the car enters sleep mod *Clear the fault code in the transmission control module I have done this several times with no success. I can clear all the codes but they come back once the engine starts. I wait for sleep mode, but my scanner can’t communicate with the vehicle when in sleep mode. Does anyone have any tips, or another procedure to get the transmission out of failsafe mode? Thank You, |

CF33 Transmission fault
Hello, Did you ever find a solution to this post? I have the same issue going on. MY huge obstacle is that there is NO BMW service center, dealer, or anything where i live in far Southern Mexico Baja. I have purchased a K+DCAN / INPA Cable but i can not get the programming right to communicate with the car. ANY Help would be appreciated.
