2008 X5 C pillar exposed -help

does anyone have any photos of the c pillar without trim so i can see how the seat belt ratchet is installed??

or any info on it? how many plastic parts to remove so i can change rear passenger seat belt ratchet / retractor unit?? thanks

looks like you have to take the bigger lower one off first.. what is that one called.. goes almost over rear wheel in back of car... has a handle grip insert in it.. how do you get that mother of a trim piece out???

Hi, there is a screw under that rubber handle trough.
Removing the rubber is a bit of a pain. Be careful not to tear off the rubber pins.

ok.. i tried yanking on that handle and it did not pop off.. do i need to you use my plastic pry tools to get it off? what about after the handle?? is there a screw under the airbag labeled plastic tiny cover?? what else is there hiding??

You need to remove first the top C Pillar cover (torx screw under airbag cap)

Once you remove it you will see screws & clips on top of the bottom c pillar cover.

Use a butterknife, flat crew driver or a thin pry tool to lift the rubber. lift it from the side located nearer to the back of the car.

ok . but from what i saw there are 2 screws that go in holes on the bottom of the top cap.. as shown in photo i attached.. this being the case... do you not have to take off the bottom first?? or can the top cap come off first?? have you done this before...?

i pulled the grip handle off and saw one torx screw under there. .is that the only screw to get that whole piece of plastic off???

can anyone tell me how many screws are in the lower c panel cover?? i saw the one torx screw behind handle panel - are there any other screw or is it just pull and pry it off>>>>>??
