E70 Power seat outside of car

Hello,

So I'm doing sim racing and most of seats i tried are not comfy enough, so i decided to get E70 seat ( i believe most of them are powered )

Can i power this seat outside of the car of no? Would motorcycle battery have enough power to move the seat?

It's E70 seat with lumbar support, i have few connectors, i'm just not sure what to connect to get motors working.

This is what i have:

The red and brown wire should power up most of the seat functions. Red being + and brown being -. A motorcycle battery would work, as I’ve used a battery from an impact gun and that worked.

+1 on the red and brown. They are the thicker wires in your pic. But watch out for the 3 explosive devices in seats. Side airbag. Seat belt tensioner. and active head restraint. The 3 safety devices are in the smaller plugs outside the main plug. Those wires/plugs can be removed from the pigtail side of your yellow connector housing prior to your testing.

Do i need to power up control box too? Because i did try red and brown wire but didn't work. Am i missing something here? I'm also not sure if seat is operational, but i can't see how all of actuators die at once.

Looks like you have a medium sized red and brown wire too, is that correct?

There was 2 thick red and brown wire, and 2 thiner with same layout, problem was seat was not functional, even in the car wouldn't move, they also said it's impossible to get seat with memory function to operate outside of the car.

And i would really like to get a comfort X5 seat with adjustable back and i'm convinced that it should work outside of the car.

Sorry late response.

Seat may not function outside car without some additional wiring. However, it
Sounds like the seat module is fried if seat wont move while in car (ignition
Must be on, wont work in key off position)

The seat module (large silver box under seat) MUST be on and functional
For the seat to do anything, since it controls all the motors and such.
Only way for most people to determine if the module works is to
Test in the car.

If the module is OK, I'd first label all the wires on that cut connector (x13989)
And make sure any wires that need power or ground are sorted out.
The wires I'd be interested in are the thinner green and orange/green (same connector) that goes to cars CAS module, on the K-can bus. Those wires
May need some type of signal for the seat module to power up.
Hope that helps a bit, it's a really complicated seat.
If module is bad, seat is a boat anchor really. Cant even hotwire the motors, they
Need a coded signal to work normal.
