x6 2009 vs 2011

I've been trying to find an x6 and have two options:

1: Low mileage 2009 N54 engine

2: Double the mileage 2011 N55 engine

Which would you guys go for?

I've been told that the N54 engine (2008-2010) has more issues than the N55 (2011-2014). It's hard for me to overlook the low miles and single owner of the N54... new to the X series, would love feedback from the experts.

There are some changes between 2009 and 2011 - primarily iDrive and Bluetooth related. Also may check if it's 6speed vs 8speed transmission.

Other than that, might want to run the VIN through a decoder to verify & compare the options.

I'll look into the options.

I'm mostly concerned with the engines N54 vs N55. I've been reading up and it looks like I can do a lot to the N54 horsepower wise, upgrading turbos, etc. But I've also been told that the N54 stock has some issues:
* waste gate rattle --> have to replace both turbos (~ $3-4k)
* valve cover gasket --> 16-20hrs work + parts (~$3k)

I've been told the N55 doesn't have those issues and was wondering if anyone on here has had issues with the N54?
