Nice looking truck, GLWS... I'm confused though, I thought all X5Ms came with the LCI tails??
Mine is a 2010 also, now I'm confused... Here's a pic of mine for reference... Can you determine?!

Could be that they installed the LCI tails on late model 2010 builds for the x5m.

Interesting. My truck is definitely an early 2010, build date is 8/2009... So mine are LCI right?

I'm in the process of buying a Canadian spec car (it's not a BMW, it's a Volvo XC90). With today's exchange rate, one can find good deals if you are willing to go through the US EPA and DOT/NHTSA compliance requirements.
I am learning that Canadian spec cars have the following things that are different and need to be updated before they can be imported to the USA: - no TPMS - speedometer in KMH - instrument cluster and display in deg C instead of deg F - others? BMW also needs to issue a Compliance Letter to go along with the car. Is this the case with your BMW as well?

to address your concerns
- All X5's have TPMS - Speedometer is in KMH but can be set to read in MPH if you change settings in the cluster. Same goes for temp display, mileage, etc. Everything can be switched over to Miles/Fahrenheit -I think BMW just needs to issue a letter stating there are no open recalls on the vehicle. I can easily obtain that from BMW Canada |
