Thank you! Believe I got the first set. Found them in 20" and asked if they could make them in 22"s - month later they were at my door! They are pricey for replicas but worth it. Can find the seller on ebay, believe he now has a full time listing for the 22.

Can't lie that it makes me a little nervous running the amount of torque I do but I've seen plenty of issues with genuine to make me not think its worth spending the extra money on those.

Ran the 599m reps for two years without anything major other than a clear coat issue. That may have been my fault because I ceramic coated them right after receiving them. Don't think the clear coat had a chance to fully cure/expand. As you can see from the pics of the 599's you don't notice it much though. Anyway, lesson learned!

What it came down to was I got wheels w/tires and a full oe brake conversion for a little more than what I would have paid for oe wheels by themselves and would still have been prone to the same issues so I didn't dwell on the decision too long

So glad I bought a MRG extended stud conversion a couple years ago while it was a $100 cheaper. They didnt really go with my last wheels but will break them out this time around for sure. Those make me more nervous than the wheels!

Waiting on another set of TPMs to come in. Vredestein Ultrac Vorti's standing by. They will be mounted soon guys!

It's been a good month for my X - Just got these replica's in today. They are the brand new 747M that come on the M performance G05 but these are 5x120 to fit our cars. It's why I'm selling the 599m's. I do wish they were as concave as the 599's but can't wait to see the brakes behind them! Attached a little teaser!

Think the powerdome and these wheels fit the platform better than the cars they were originally designed for. What do you guys think? Love the E70!!
The 747Ms look amazing. I just got into a 2013 E70 30d and on the hunt for some summer wheels. Can't wait to see them on the truck.

What I did yesterday was PARK IT! It's going up on stands later today and hopefully I'll get the front tension arms done today. That's the goal, at least. arms done today, and then tomorrow I can get right to work on the transmission stuff. Full service with seals and all new solenoids too. Hoping that solves all my shifting worries. I'll use Carly to monitor the trans temp while refilling it I suppose.

A facebook group has led me to believe that there's a chance the multicontour with active+ ventilation would be able to be installed into my car. At minimum, I'd REALLY like to get normal multicontour comfort seats in there. Even if they're just heated. My main dilemma is the color- Cinnamon would be pretty close to my saddle brown, but I haven't been able to find a cinnamon set for sale upon lightly looking. Also was told to check if the seat modules are the same, but I'm going to need to find someone's vin with the normal comfort seats, and a vin with active+vent to compare them all. Here's to me dreaming of the comfort seats!

I got the tension struts in yesterday. Job went really smoothly, 2 hours start to finish, including running down the street for a 27mm socket so I could just impact the nut off.
Today I start the trans service!

Jeez, where did you buy that? I think mine were german oe and like.. $20 or something. I think it cost me around $75 to change both cabin fresh air filters and the cabin recirc filter.

Looks good dude!

Did you wrap the headliner in alcantara yourself? Also, where did you source the visors? Got any pics of the visor flipped down/mirror?

Went to a dealership for pricing in my country and it was R2100, then the following week I went there to buy it and the price was R350, ended up buying oil with the change I had. Checked again recently and now it's R1700... BMW Prices

I was a little wary of the rims but I was wrong, that looks absolutely gorgeous!

As for me two days ago a friend with a E70 35d had his car vandalized. They ripped off the rear wiper and one front wiper in our neighborhood. I thought nothing of it until I saw this on mine.

We have footage of the guy from three cameras as of today. We'll see where this goes.

I took the time to install my euro headlight switch

The new wheels and that power dome hood look absolutely incredible. I think you now have my favorite non-M X5... I may need to start modding my wife's 35D again...

Thx! I appreciate the old 599Ms more now that these are on. To be honest I thought the 747Ms would blow them out of the water looks wise but the 599Ms really did go well and hold their own with the design of the car. These do give it a more sporty look which is what I was going for, wanted to see those brakes also!

Thanks for that, it's been a lot of modding for almost 4 years now but really starting to come together. Still about 30% to go but feels good.

Plan to make it yours before saying anything, hah. Then start modding! The potential of the 35D is amazing and was completely detuned, partly to sell the V8's in the US IMO. The performance to fuel economy ratio's make it great owning.

Sequential turbo, inline 6 diesel, AWD, double wishbone suspension, hydraulic steering (F15 and beyond are electric), great trans (now has multiple tuning options) and fully integrated bumper exhaust with real tips that can fit a 335 width tire stock - just a few things that make this a classic in my book and will not be getting rid of it. My next car purchase will be full electric but this can always be a towing workhorse.

Without making this a page long post, the mixture of new hyrbid turbos, "h2o" injection, monoball bushings, beefed up sway bars and full air suspension will make for an amazing 2.5 ton rig.

The only thing missing is the 8 speed zf transmission they were putting in them for the European market last couple years production. Which is absolute BS since they were most likely produced in the states. This would be on the top of my "want but most unlikely to happen" list.

How much did you switch cost you? That's a mod I've been wanting to do, rear fogs would be handy to have, stupid that they're disables by teh switch from the factory. Dang Audi drivers don't even know when to use them, but we don't have access to them.

Also Deft- Those wheels look freaking MEAN. Just so big, I'd love to find a 19' set of those. With 40k miles a year, I really appreciate not bending wheels like I always did in my 335i! I think 19" is the biggest I'm willing to go for comfort/ rough roads reasons. My winters are 18s!

I looked for the cleanest one on fleabay and it was $59 shipped from Latvia. I almost went new OE but figured if I could save some coin why not lol.

The Audi one's are annoying since the switch (as I think I remember) can easily activate the rear fogs in the same way you turn on the headlight. One strong pull into the third position and they're on to annoy the world lol

I need to look into an uphostery shop that will be able to redye/ recolor them to match. I've decided that I won't be able to tolerate the slightly different color seats. Just being honest with myself!

Thanks, they do change the whole look and loving it. I only drive 20-25k a year so can definitely see your dilemma. They do make them in 20's which would be a good compromise since you can probably get 20" tires cheaper than 19" tires anyway. Hearing about so many bent oem's is why I go replica, figured if I hit a pothole hard enough it will bend/crack either way. If the oem's were bulletproof it would be another story but for now I will enjoy buying more mods with the savings

Just hit 100k and about to head for an east coast road trip. Decided to change the diff fluids, transfer case fluid, oil service, front tension strut bushings and had them install my wheel arches and front IND reflector replacements. I think im going to do some spacers for now. I plan on doing style 299's later on (currently style 335).

Do you have a link to the 20" version? Wheels look great in 22", not sure I would want to give up the ride comfort. Trying to keep the X5M more daily driveable and comfortable than the M3.
