Face-lifted Porsche Cayenne

I remember seeing spy photos of this new headlight design among other things in Auto Week and Car & Driver at least 2 years ago, if not more. I don't understand what took Porsche so long to apply the refresh. Still, I think it's a welcome design improvement.

The version (I can't determine which is which) with the gaping grille is positively IMHO fuglier than any Cayennes before it (and it has stiff competition). The one sporting the narrower frontal opening is not bad, but ultimately Porsche nailed the Aztec prize of timeless fugly design with the Cayenne imho

Looks better but I'm still not that big a fan of it. The Cayenne Turbo looks pretty nice at 500hp though.

I'd probably go for an ML63 that produces 507hp with a normally aspirated engine and for less money.

those headlights were the very last thing that remotely connected the car with the porsche brand. now that those are gone...

Well - only if upgrade to V8; the 6 is straight out VW land (oh there is some tweaking etc. but not a Porsche designed engine)

And the profile of Porscheareg is the same as the Tuareg. Underneath the chasis are the same (I mean identical).

Yup, the VW, Audi and Porsche SUV's are 70% identical.

Edit: ok maybe not the Audi as it's stretched, but the other two are.
