Engine oil change interval

For a X5 3.0. Is it 15K miles for engine oil change interval? I changed about 5K miles but the service due led up yesterday.

The service led is program interval, there is a trick to Chance it so the service light Goes out!

But I don’t know the trick yet, I takes a while bevor my light will lit.

The service light will come on with a preset counter based mostly on miles since the last reset. I believe it has some intelligence to it which includes cold starts and load but primarily it will come on after roughly 15k miles from last reset.

If you change more frequently (and you should IMO) the bummer is that you cannot reset the service light if it decides it hasn't been long enough since the last reset.

I change every 5k to make the reminder easy and ignore the service light by resetting it whenever it pops up.
