(2009) E70 X5 - coding hand brake actuator
Early (2009) E70 X5 - coding hand brake actuator
Hi all. I am about to change the entire Parking brake actuator/assembly on my 2009 X5. I understand though - that it will need coding to the car before it works? I'm nowhere near a BMW dealer or specialist (that I know of) So wondering what the easiest option is? I understand I can buy a cable that plugs into my laptop and pay someone to code it remotely? If so - what type of lead do I need to order? I understand that I could download the BMW software and do this myself - But I've never been able to download it successfully and if I did - is it the same kind of cable that plugs into my car? I'm about to sell the car and replace with a company car - so don't want to spend a fortune of software if I can avoid it. Thanks in advance |

I'd look in regional classifieds on e90post or another BMW site entirely with regional section and try to find someone thats near you that can just use Protools or something (im assuming protools can do it). Just buy them a case of beer and im sure they will be more than happy to help.
