kw vs h&r
why spend the extra 2k for kw to lower the car? does it improve the ride that much?
when I lower the car will it increase tire wear even if I fix the camber?

I just lowered the X5 Sport on H&R springs and the ride is a lot better than i thought it would be. I went with the 1.2 kit and wish the front and rear would be a a bit lower. If i had the KW's i could just adj them and be done with it. My M3 has KW's and it is lowered about 2 inches and it rides very nice. Rebound and compression setting are a plus but it will cost you. I hope the H&R springs settle a lot more or i will have to do something else.

your truck will bounce around like a jack rabbit especially at higher speeds and is incredibly stiff. You'll also blow your shocks quicker because the spring rate is not matched to the shock. The KW's are worth every penny

does it matter what kind of factory suspension is presently on the car or is there just one kind of kwv3 to buy?
how difficult is it to adjust the kws once they are on the car? can anyone provide any commentary on how kws affect tire wear.?

I installed H&R within the last 48 hours. The ride would suck in the back seats. I would think Unbearable. as long as your in the front or don't cart passengers that bitch a bunch. Then fine enough. I did a diy install. Nah pay the money. I got skills and a massive set o tools. Pain is putting it lightly. In the end you better really want the look. mine looks sick. I can live with it. but I ain't gonna be anything but the driver.

how is the ride with the KW? Still nice and comfy? Good enough for a 4 month old?

Get the one with EDC delete - its useless once you have the v3 because you can dial in your own settings. My children could adjust the ride height and dampening / rebound settings - it's that easy. I have mine set at factory KW settings (at 50% dampening / rebound) and I find it too cushy - is better than stock but has quite a bit of oversteer. I plan on stiffening up the Damp/Rebound by 20% to see how it feels. On a truck this much you pay either $250 on a HR spring or around $2700 on KW's. You can have my HR's collecting dust in my garage for $100 if you live locally (Alberta) - I took the off after 40 miles of driving. KW = spouse and child friendly

KW it is. Does lowering the car make it more difficult to steer?

lol. just wanted to check as I've had to listen to the wife complain that it's more work to turn the wheel since I put the 21s on. Lowering the car also increases tire wear, no?

Just get it aligned as to factory specs after... It's no issue driving with it lowered - your wife may even say its easier to hop in the front seat because of the drop. She would for sure complain with HR's...when mine were on she asked me why my "truck was broke"

Doesn't matter there's tire wear on stock 20" and stock suspension too. When I bought my 2012 the inside of my x5m oem bridgestone's were super thin before installing H&R and my ADV 22's.
