Another wet door sill problem

Hi,

My late 2011 E70 X5M is exhibiting the famous wet door sill issue on the rear passenger-side door. I removed the trim and checked the vapor barrier. That indeed had loose areas, so I re-applied isobutyl in those areas and also placed duct tape over the areas for good measure.
Issue still remains however. After a good rain shower, when I open the door I see water draining from the door itself and the sill is quite moist.
The water seems to get inside the door rubber. If I rub my finger around the door rubber I can force water out of the door rubber, there seems to be like a drain hole in it.

So should I just replace the door rubber? Or is it potentially something else?

Drains

Make sure the door drains at the corners of the door (from memory) are clear, too. The vapor barrier keeps the water from getting to the interior door panel and the drains must be clear.

In my case, water got under the carpet and condensed up the B pillar causing a damp seat belt. Might want to lift the carpet up and see. It will never dry out if you don't lift it up and hit it with a hair dryer.
