DIY camshaft sensor replacement?

I'm getting the 2AA0 error, indicating I need a new camshaft sensor on my 2012 X6M.

Seems easy enough...if I can find them and reach them!

Anyone have any DIYs or pictures? I've searched high and low and can't find anything for the V8 X6M (or X5M).

Carly was giving me a persistent A6D2 code, even though I can HEAR the new aftermarket pump running after shutdown. Not knowing what to do - I purchased the OEM BMW part this time and reset Carly. One week later, the A6D2 code returned, despite KNOWING the OEM pump was circulating coolant to the hot Turbos.

I sold all the Carly gear and pulled the trigger for BMW Group ISTA-D/P. Been perfect, ever since. I'm told Carly treats voltage anomalies as a failure mode and stores it as so. ISTA set the record straight...
