Samcrac's lemon E71 X6M

I follow this youtuber Samcrac and he just bought a Monte Carlo Blue E71M for $12,000 from CoPart. Good God man, that thing is a disaster. Someone swapped the wheels and calipers from a non-M and I am wondering if the rear electronics took a bath. I am kind of curious on how it qualified as a lemon-buyback by BMW. He shows a Carfax that says "white smoke from exhaust." Will be interested to see how far he takes it before it he hangs up the towel, but I wonder how it was lemon'd so far out of warranty?

Sounds like a fried FRM or footwell module from botched battery install.
