4.8i No Heat at idle

I have a 2008 x5 4.8i. I just completed the valley pan and coolant transfer pipe along with the water pump, thermostat and new belts while I was that far into it. I pressure tested the system and it held pressure for over an hour. I filled with a little over 2 gal of BMW coolant. Now I have no heat at idle. If i rev it up to about 2k RPM I get heat. Rev it higher I get more heat. At idle no heat out of drivers side and very little heat out passenger side. I drove it home last night 30 mins from my shop. Let it cool and opened the reservoir cap and no change, still showed full. This morning I went out and opened cap and added about half a qt of coolant. Drove 30 mins to my shop and still no heat at idle. X5 is running between 104c-107c. Mainly hovers around 105c. What am I missing (Bleed procedure, which I thought was only for vehicles with electric pumps) or do I have a new problem?
