X6M Interior color & option selection- HELP NEEDED...what is Sakhir Orange Interior
I ordered my X6M on Friday in Space Gray exterior loaded. I wanted a red interior but the closes is this Sakhir Orange (I am told this is more red than it is orange). SO my questions are as follows--please jump in (production date is only about 3 weeks away).
Thanks for your help a bunch ahead of time.. Really looking forward to replacing my X5 4.8is which I sorely miss. |

Although not the clearest photo, you can sort of see the Sakhir Orange interior in this photo.
It's the only photo of it I've seen so far. Hope it helps. Congrats on your order and I can't wait to see photos of your X6M !! |

Finally got pictures of Sahkir Orange
Ok guys, I finally got pictures of the interior color, Sakhir Orange. It is by no means ORANGE. It a beautful red and fits with my other sports cars. In the pictures, it looks a bit lighter red but I got a swatch from BMW in hand and trust me, you will not be unhappy. have a great letter from BMW rep at HQ saying, "It's a whole lot of red" and I love it!!!! The exterior will be Space Gray so it will look great next to his big sister, the M6.
Enjoy... car will be Built first/second week in September and I will do Performance Center Delivery. Anyone else going to Spartansburg late September? Front Seats Rear Seats Rear Door Panels Closeup front seats Big Sister, the M6 Cabrio |

No problem. It was so bad, I had to reach into the depths of BMWNA to get a swatch... and to boot, it wasn't a prepared swatch. Someone actually cut a piece of the material and sent it out to me. I could take a picture of it but like the ones included, it would not do it justice. It is a different tone from that of the M6 but it is very nice. Not sure why they even put the word orange in the color cause this will just confuse people--maybe they don't want too many people ordering it. I have to tell you, you have to appreciate the sportiness of a red interior on a car to take a leap to do this. Red interior is my signature color and is the color I do exclusively on my M vehicles.
Only thing I am bummed about is that you could not get active seats with this color I still don't understand why. I don't really car about the vented seats so much.. but active seat.. HELL YEAH! What is the exterior color on your M, Somia? |

Funny that your more helpful than the dealer down here! LOL
No need of pics of the swatch they sent you.. I trust your tastes.. I ordered Melbourne Red Metallic & Sakhir Orange Leather with every option available besides rear entertainment and Soft close doors.. I don't have kids so don't need DVD player for rear and as for soft close doors, I opened and closed the doors at the dealer over and over and every time the door closed all of the way it self. The vented seats are a cheap thrill that after two minutes I usually turn them back off cause it makes my boys too cold.. The active seats are more appealing but yes, it was not an option with the interior color I wanted... All of my past vehicles had Black interior and I really wanted a change.. |

I wish we could get aluminum trim on the X6M but we can't so I am going with carbon leather... the wood just would not, ahem pardon the pun, cut it! |

It looks reddish orange in the picture. I have the actual swatch on hand. The color name is a misnomer. The color is amazing. Any day now the car should arrive... BMWNA just have to release them all! It been build for over 3 weeks now! ugh!
Has anyone heard when they will official release the customer ordered cars. I know they have shipped the dealer demo cars (and some dealers have obviously sold them--though they are not supposed to). Who can blame the dealers though; in this market, they would take any sale they can get. |
