Need Help, got the Shelly BMW itch; keep 2012 X6M or trade in for 2012 650

The 640i that I saw in the showroom in Berlin was the most beautiful combo that I have seen on a BMW. It made me think of the interiors in the Maserati.

Now if I had to chose the 6 Series, I would get the Frozen Bronze Metallic with the Opal White/Amaro Brown Merino Leather. I saw that combo in Berlin, and it was INCREDIBLE. Your car does look Sleek!

Pulling the x6 out of the garage. Son's 328 parked on the driveway; slopped uphill driveway. Didn't even see the 328 on the rear camera until hearing the actual impact. Really really awful...

Oh and since you asked, here is the picture the day the 1M was dropped off at my house (yes in Feb ). Poor X6 in the background (my neighbors driveway).

Interestingly enough, I almost purchased a 2012 M3 with competition package (in LeMans Blue) before the 1M. My dealer (who had the M3 in stock) kept telling me to find a 1M (he was crushed that he could not find me one after I missed out on his allocation). Car has 1,500 miles on it BTW. Given the choice between it and the X6, I always take the 1M (even if it isn't in the same league ).

If you think the bumper was an accident, just wait until the first cup holder accident in the 2012 650. Somehow after years of exhaustive research, and some carefully placed hints at the dealership, the Germans engineered a cup holder that can hold an 8oz red bull can, and a 32 oz Slurpee at the same time, and you can take a 90 degree turn at an intersection doing 50mph without any slippage. In the 650, there would be permanent interior staining, not to mention what would happen to the passenger. If you are talking coffee cups, a potential passenger lawsuit. Lauren, your son can only take so much, if you are going to continue to make him suffer like you do, we will call child services!!!!

WHAT?!?!!!??! Son was not in the vehicle at the time of impact.
Now now, please kindly note, absolutely no food or beverage of any kind shape or form in any of my vehicles; X6M or 650.

I'm already stressed as is trading in beloved X6M for the 650 due to blind spot(s).

If any, I think BMW need to take some responsbility (51%+ or more) on the accident.

I wasn't referring to the accident. My concern is the emotional attachment I'm sure he formed with the X6M. To have to accept he will never get to drive or ride in it again is nothing you should put anyone through at that age. Let's think about his feelings to when trading out for the 650. Seriously, if he wants to take your car out and drive his friends around, those 650 backseats are useless. You really need to stop being so selfish.

I know...thus the kid's been driving around the 2012 M3 with comp packge since his 328's been in the bodyshop for the front bumper repair.

I feel as if I'm being punished for the X6M's blind spots....


Miss the X6 forums.....enjoying the 650 thus far. :-)

I can't believe he was subjected to the 328 in the first place. I knew a girl once who got a Ferrari for high school graduation. Her father didn't even get her the convertible!! Child abuse takes place in all forms . You will enjoy the 6 series forum, it has it's own colorful regulars as well. I went through my own withdrawals there when I converted. You can always pop in here to torment people as I do there. Call it a new kind of foreign trade balance
