Thanks everyone for your orders!

I still have some in stock and am shipping as I get the orders.

Now I need to figure out what other little brackets we need that I can make.

I don't see the brackets available on the website. Are they not in stock or discontinued?

No drilling is required..

All e70s without the 3rd row option already come with the threaded holes.

To all here. Mount all of these with the rod down. Rod up and the gas spring will fail faster. The above is incorrect mounting.

Side note/question: How many of you have broken the end off putting things in there like the tire, etc?

I agree. Rod down is correct. Installing rod down helps ensure that the oil is in the correct position for dampening and also helps lubricate the sealing orings.

Do you mean breaking an end off rom the strut from hitting it with the spare tire, etc?

I haven't had anyone say that they broke the end off from one yet. I do sell just the support struts but usually it is just because an OEM one has worn out.

Note I had a lot of orders last week so I am down to my last few sets of brackets.

Another batch is being made but it will probably take a couple of weeks to get them back from both waterjet and powdercoating.

Thanks to everyone that has ordered one so far!

Yes, tire hitting the bracket or gas spring.

No one has mentioned doing that when buying replacements.

It would have to be hit pretty hard and the shock is high and deep. Normally when I put the tire in I slide it into the back at an angle. It is a 35lb tire so unless you throw it I don't see it happening often. It is much easier to just set the edge down and slide it into place.

Well the full size tire doesn't fit under the cargo cover so the cover would be down when you violently throw it in the back anyway. Unless you throw it in there anyway with the cargo cover half up, then perhaps you are just trying to break things... That is fine with me. It seems like a good thing to break so people can buy replacements from me.

I had a flat in the middle of nowhere (half way between Wickenburg, AZ and Kingman, AZ) and had to change to the spare and drive 100 miles one day like that. I got my hands dirty. But by the time I was putting the spare back in I had a the original tire fixed so I wasn't that mad anymore....

I ran out of brackets about 2 weeks ago. The next batch is currently at the powder coat shop so I should be able to ship them again early next week.

Thanks to everyone who has ordered a kit!
