Yeah, I had the same issue with BG. It annoys me that BMW is happy to sell us these colors, usually at an additional cost, but won't supply us with touch-up paint.
These touch-up paints are made in small batches, so I can see where just a micro-millimeter of difference in the mix could cause a problem. Also, it's a very unique color and probably difficult to match, period. I have had pretty good luck with a company called Touch Up Direct. The DR company may make a good product; I don't know because they are way too expensive for me to try.

The BMW USA website does not offer touch up paint for Brooklyn Grey and they also don't sell touch up paint for Skyscraper Grey which is a relatively new color that they are pushing on various models!
Also you are SOL if you have a Frozen color which is a reason why I selected Misano Blue for my Z4 although I was in love with Frozen Grey! I have successfully used my Misano Blue touch up paint on my front bumper to cover a rock chip that I received before I added PPF to the car. |

Dr. Colorchip hands down. Its a gel like based paint you smudge into the chip. Its smooth and blends in perfectly. All those touch up pens do is color in the chip. Leaving the crater. Well, most of the time thats how the end up looking.
Dr. Colorchip! Watch a video of how to apply it. Its great!

And that is a good thing if you are after convenience. I prefer two component BMW touch up kits, but their clear coat is of a consistency of a shoe glue which is pain in the a** to apply and will require a sanding and buffing to achieve good results.

I ordered some touch-up paint from these guys:
https://touchupdirect.com/ It comes with a pen that also has a built-in brush and also includes clear coat. I'll let you know how it is once i get it. I've got a few small rock chips on my lower front bumper that need some love. Edit: I got the Essential kit for $33, which is usually $45. If you look around there are some coupons out there, I just can't remember where I got mine.

How would you rate the kit? After you touched up the paint, are you able to see where thd rock chip was!
