2011 X5M Cooling System Component ***identification help needed please***

Hey All,
Long time no post....ran into a problem today with a coolant leak. Backing out of garage saw large puddle of antifreeze on the ground, on drivers side. I immediately checked the reservoir/expansion tank for cracks cand it was good. The leak seems to be coming from lower down. I was able to pinpoint in on the area and I need help identifying the likely culprit. Seem there is a valve or component immediately below and a tad further back under the expansion tank that has hoses and a sensor running to it. I can’t tell if it’s the actual component leaking or a hose running to it but it’s definitely the area source of the leak. Again it’s drivers side immediately below/behind the expansion tank, mounted to wall of the engine bay. It has at least two hoses running to it. Can anybody help with identification?? Looked on realoem but wasn’t lucky enough to to find it.

Cheers

It's the heater control valve. Below is a link. Around 190 for OEM, aftermarket can be found for 50 dollars or less. It's a bit of pain to replace as it's pretty tight in there as you can see. Might just be a cracked hose too and not the valve itself.

This is a common failure on the E70, make sure you get the right one for an E70. The 5 series ones are a mirror image of the e70 and will not work, if you shop the fleabay. I've replaced the heater control valve on my 1st E70 the 4.8i.
